UpToDate

The licencing requirements for UpToDate are very restrictive. The subscription available across SMAHS is facility based. It is only available at the physical campuses of :

• Fremantle Hospital and Health Service
• Armadale-Kelmscott Memorial Hospital
• Bentley Hospital
• Rockingham General Hospital
• Royal Perth Hospital

No access is available when you connect to other Library resources from off-site anywhere in SMAHS.

The licence is very expensive , focussed on Hospital clinicians, and priced according to each physical location and then by the numbers of clinicians in different specialties at that location. No expansion to the licence is possible at this stage.

Alternative online resources are available for staff anywhere in SMAHS (except RPH - go to the RPH site for links).
